Carlson Pillow Service is a professional cleaning service for feather pillows. We travel with our mobile unit to towns in the upper midwest on a set schedule and offer the latest technology in pillow cleaning. We also sell new feather pillows according to your specifications.

Helpful hints

• Feathers should be professionally cleaned with no chemicals used. Water and soap take the oil out of the feathers, causing feathers to become dry and brittle, shortening their useful life.
• It is recomended that a pillow that is used every night be cleaned every year. Cleaning a pillow is cheaper than the cost of washing and drying sheets per year.
• Because the oil in the feathers attracts dust they should be cleaned regularly.
• Hanging pillows on a clothesline on dry, sunny days helps to take out body odors.
• Do not store pillows in plastic bags as it does not allow air to circulate. Feathers will start to smell and mold will occur.
• Feathers or down that are picked by individuals should hang for one year in a cotton fabric bag which will allow adequate air circulation before making into pillows.
